Add a Big HL2 symbol in a corner and put a cool filter on it (Multiply, Darken, one of those, whatever looks best)

Guys I'm not a photoshop expert. I jwanted a wallpaper with the dog in it and all I could find was a low quality steam advertisement. So considering what I had to start with this is about as good as I think it can get. I put a big HL2 logo and it looked crappy so I just went with the small logo. If you think you can make it look look more professional go for. I just thought we needed more DOG wallpapers....

iI'm using Photoshop 5.0LE and most of my filters are useless. What version of Photoshop do you recommend I use? I'm still learning, but eventually I'd like to be able to create some of the professional works I see at Deviant Art and this forum.

Thanks Jimmeh, I just wanted to put something together that had the DOG on it. I wish I could get a higher res pic to start over. I couldn't find where people found this pic in steam either.

What PhotoShop should I be using that has the filters mentioned above?
