- The Sa80 weapon has been improved
- The G3A3 weapon has been improved
- Reload while sprinting has been enabled
- Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials
- Damage decreased for the M134
- Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use.

We'll be announcing further additions to this list, but that will have to wait until the next update. This is NOT the complete list of items we are working on. As we have more items go through testing and we are sure of a change we will update you.

Looks average tbh- they're just taking too much notice of all the whiners who get owned because they cant play the game properly. Dolpphin diving and bunny hopping was never a problem for me, neither was the hit points of the choppers and planes.

Im guessing the support kit guns are going to be incredibly accurate now- that'l suck (they were fine before). Im also guessing the G3 has been hugely increased in power and accuracy- to compensate for people moaning about no grenade launcher. Thats the new noob cannon now then- it was hugely powerful as it was ffs.
 
yeah, I've never had problems with dolphine diving..seemed fine, and running and reloading was fine imho. TV Missles with shorter range? Oh well, not like I shot that far anyway.

Lets see how bad they screw up the AA now...
 
Well the AA is a real issue as I'm sure anyone on a server getting pounded by the other teams planes can attest, and bunny-hopping is definitely a problem for anyone with a higher-level ping (they can't track as fast).

I play a fair bit of support too, and I've always been annoyed with accuracy of their main weapons. You have to go prone to use it (as you should), but even then any player with an M16 or AK is still more accurate than you are. About the only advantage you have is the belt capacity and the ability to whale on helicopters.
 
Im fairly sure its jumping foward, the lying down in mid air, shooting the whole time. Basically this will stop anyone shooting while they are jumping, and reduce bunny hopping by taking sprint meter health for jumping. (so when he runs out of sprint, you can plug 'em).
Imo it will make for an entirely different game on maps like Karkand and Warlord. No shooting while jumping? this will suck.

I thought helos were fragile enough as it is. I just think jets should have their hp toned down. I like the other additions.

The medic defib recharge is handy, that way I don't need to make sure the defibs recharge before switching back to my rifle. I also like the support gun accuracy changes, AA changes and the jumping changes.

I wish they'd change some stuff on the grenade launchers though. That's the one thing that I feel is still really wrong with the game. It completely takes the fun out of infantry battles when grenade launchers are spamming everywhere.

I hate to die in a point blank battle with my DAO-12 from some douchebag with a grenade launcher that fires it straight down, killing me while he survives...

Glad dolphin diving is fixed. People would always do it with shotguns at close range and drop you so quickly giving you a tiny target to hit. I only used it in silly knife battles so no real loss for me.

One other thing that I think should be changed...going prone should take a little more time to get in and out of. Crouching is damn near useless because of the quick speed at which people drop into prone position.
 
Well fortunately the helos aren't any easier to kill. They just need the gunner a little bit more now.
Edit: Ok, they did knock the HP for the helo's down, but a good pilot at the moment can keep them flying almost indefinitely.
 
Less HP for choppers?! What??!! I can take down a chopper with the gun on the HUMMER before it even over heats! That's garbage! Planes need less HP not choppers!

Shorter distance on the TV missles?! Keep them the same, they are fine! Barely anybody understands the destruction you can do with them anyway!

8 missles?! WTF! fourteen was perfect!

The sniper kit better be 'adjusted for accuracy' to be MORE accurate! Same with support! Support is downright USELESS right now!
 
I don't know about you guys, but I think the support guns are the best ones to use :( I go prone, unleash on somebodies head, and I generally win. I mean, my BF2s.com stats dictate it...I generally do really good as support, because I think they are really easy to kill with.

Ok, there was some fecked up stuff with my last game. I mean, my jet went underwater and didn't explode! Perhaps it was lag. But that was freaky.
 
Heh, yesterday I encountered a hardcore bunnyhopper - he was literally jumping around me while reloading/shooting me. Not in front of me. AROUND me. :dozey:

Yeah, I've met them. A lot of people try to do it with the shotgun classes (engineers and anti-tank) because accuracy isn't an issue.
 
There was a clan on one of my servers who were doing it. It's basically unstoppable when there's 6 people all bunnyhopping towards you. They were doing the prone/jump expolit as well and you'd be amazed how many knife kills that got them...
 
I can see it now, a massive group of bunny-hoppers coming towards you all with their M203's locked and loaded, aimed at you!

My god, BF2 has become some kind of hellish dimension of hell!
 
Now that I think of it, it won't be possible to jump and fire the noobtube. Yay!
 
personally my only problem with the game has been the aa - sitting in a stinger emplacement firing missiles smartly but only getting occasional kills sucks
dolphin diving and bunny hopping i rarely see - maybe the yanks do it more (immature across the ponders!)
the grenade launcher i've never had a problem with although i use it the way it should be used - as a mortar for clearing out a flag point from cover and range before moving in to cap it

the only thing that should be added that wasnt mentioned is the time for the 40mm grenade to travel 10m be the fuse time on the gl
 
I like all the changes, especially the ones that allow my pkm to be even deadlier.

Perhaps the aa tanks won't be absolutely useless against aircraft anymore too.

This is truely glorious news
