I have recently discovered that I was a victim to not one, but three different credit card scams, to which I had been paying 50 dollars a month for essentially nothing in return.

Freecreditreport.com is ripe with illegitimacy in which they can take your credit card information and simple give it to a company like webloyalty.com or Reservation Rewards....and then if you don't cancel the membership, a recurring monthly fee is deducted from your account.

The purpose of this post is just to warn all of you, dont give out any personal information, even your email address...make sure any transction online is secure, usually by noticing the padlock on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Anyway, after swearing for a lengthy period of time i got refunds, but im still probably down over 200 dollars...

Don't give credit details to insecure sites ...

... thanks for the heads up, I was just about to.

Im not getting the rest back, one of these companies has the nerve to make it a policy not to give refunds....how cute

What service were you giving out your information for anyway?

Was this in the small print?

i signed up for freecreditreport.com

except when you enter your email address you apparently agree to sign up with a partner company, a company which thrives on its customers ignorance...and ya, i think it was in the small print, which was hidden in an electronic version of moby dick, or so it would seem.

One of these places has already been sued many times, how can they still be in business?

They're still in business due to what they did to you.

What can they do with your email besides spam you?

What can they do with your email besides spam you?

I heard that entering your email address automatically signs you up for it or something, i would never knowingly sign up for that crap.

Nothing is free. Not even free credit reports. Next time you see the word "free" dont jump in and get it, check out how much this free thing is going to cost you first.

And never forget to read the fine print thats inside the large print!

Yeah, It's all FREECREDITREPORT
Down at the bottom it sez 'With sign up to tri-report' or some shit.
So it's only free if you buy something.
Paradox?>

Nothing is free Jondy. NOTHING. That hard on you got? Yeah that's gonna cost you a few hours of your time and a trip to the morgue. Them dead babies can't do it themselves you know.
