Dudes, did you see the new trailer for doom 3 yet? its bad ass.

www.planetdoom.com

These are going to be the best 2 games for a very long time. Plus doom3 will keep me occupied untill half life 2.

For the past year, we have been in a gaming drought. Now we're coming out of that drought. That or I just don't like dumb boring repetitive games.

Anyways, goodbye.

For some reason, I can't explain why, Doom 3 absolutely does not excite me! I watched the trailers and everything, and it just looks like any other FPS, but of course, with much superior graphics. I mean, I haven't seen anything that makes me WANT to play it, that sets it APART from other FPSs. HL2 for instance, has the incredible about of interactivity, the physics, etc. Doom 3, from my perspective, seems like just another FPS, this time a big-name FPS, trying to ascertain the next level of graphics, while offering little in the gameplay department. I could be wrong though, I will still play the game once it is released, and then make my final judgement.

blah

i never start good threads, lol i shouldn't start any, i'll leave that up to you guys.

I can relate. I'm always a day late on all kinds of crap. Don't worry about it.

Look at the newest Doom 3 trailer, and watch the extremely detailed kinematics of the enemies. The pinky demon (large creature without eyes, and a large jaw) looks incredible as it gyrates its body as it moves closer to you. The revenant is another example, each step causes many of the bones to move in a stunningly natural and fluid way. When you see the trailer you will remember that this game will actually have a great storyline that puts you in the position of a soldier sent to find a missing researcher on the UAC base. The inclusion of a professional writer on to ID's team will make Doom III's stunning graphics and gameplay coherent and immersive. Don't think that this is just a run and gun recursion of Doom. This game will terrify you repeatedly by employing many of the classic elements of horror films. You will be surprised when you play.

HOLY crap batman, that new DOOM111 movie rocks. I bet Gabe had a panic attack after seeing it and ran to krispy Kream dougnuts for a dozen. hahaha JK gabe. Do you guys think HL2 will be out sep 2004 or 2005?

Wait, is this thread a contest for 'best back-of-the-box description'? I think they've already printed the boxes.
