Dota 2: The International 2015 Tournament Announced

Despite not taking place until Summer 2015, Valve have already went ahead and announced The International 2015 tournament for Dota 2, which is set to run in Seattle from August 3rd through the 8th. Like previous years, the event will see 16 individual teams (yet to be revealed) compete for a currently unknown prize pool.

While few details are currently available about the event, Valve decided to announce The International much earlier this time around in order to give people sufficient time to make room in their schedules...8 months in advance. Tickets cannot yet be purchased, and their availability will be announced over on the Dota 2 blog prior to going on sale. The 16 individual teams will be invited to the tournament sometime after May 1st 2015, so there's still plenty of time to wait before it's really worth getting excited about.
