Dropship- Anyone shot one down yet?

Has anyone shot down a dropship? I've tried with rockets and grenades without much success.

You can' blow up the dropship containers with the soldiers in them, but you can't destroy the dropship itself.

The container is all you want to blow anyway. If you can destroy the soldiers, there really is no point in wasting your time on the ship itself.

The dropship has guns though.

Yeah, but it's indestructable. Like Captain Scarlet. The troop carrier is a different matter, but it's still pretty pointless to blow it up unless you've got a mounted gun or something. You'll just be wasting precious rockets when you could be hiding with a good view of the land point and shotgunning the Combine as they come out of their ship one by one.

You can easily destroy the ones in water hazard with the mounted airboat gun..

It's not meant to be possible, i tired, with God-mode and alot of ammo, but just had fun killing the Carrier load of combine with Crowbar.

the dropships don't have guns, the containers do have them tho. they have 2 automatic turrets on the front corners, so all you need to do is blow up the containers, thats it. shame tho, the dropship design is quit interesting, shame their function is so unimportant, i want to see a synth bomber
