Dual Monitors

So I have two monitors set up, playing HL2 is hard because theres a huge separation down the middle. How do I set it up that the crosshair is like an inch to the left of the line? Thanks!

There is no usable way to do this I'm afraid. Best off using a single screen. And yes, I run dual monitors, so I do know what I'm talking about

Hmm, i've always wondered what it would be like to play on 2 monitors, always thought it was a pointless idea, suppose you could draw a crosshair on a piece of carefully measured cardboard and stick it inbetween them

But then you move the player around to centre the cross hair over a target, the target is on the line meaning you cant see what you hit/ miss, UNLESS you get some cardboard and draw on EVERY enemy in every situation in the game, then you can't lose.

Btw if you can't support 3 monitors, then dont bother with the duel monitors, it just doesn't work for games like FPS's. Sorry to blow ya bubble -_-

On the plus side, you will still get the use out of them, especially if your a multiplayer gamer. I have the game in one (Obviously), then ventrilo, xfire, msn etc running in the spare one, as well as any monitoring software I use. Its really great to, for example, not have to switch out of the game to see exactly who is talking in ventrilo

Two monitors for games works but thats splitting your center which is 'unplayable'. 3 monitors is where it's at. Or 1 wide LCD. Where did you get the idea that playing games spanning 2 monitors would be good?

But they are right, once you get used dual monitors for multitasking you won't go back! Game on one side and AIM, IRC, winamp or web up on the other.

Can't you offset your middle-screen so that you have the crosshair in the center of one monitor, and you can just see to your right/left on the other one?

And I want dual/triple monitors now. Need an upgrade first though

Depending on your set-up, this probably won't work, I can't get any of my games to do this, except when they're windowed, even then I get about 8-9 FPS on a game of CSS, its just not practical.
