EBGames messed up?

well, no confirmation yet, but according to this thread...

I think Ebgames.com just shipped my copy of the HL2 collectors box. Note that the status on the order is "open", but see, I preordered Halo 2 the other day, and all day it has said "open" and it came in the mail just this morning.

Yesterday the status was "open" on HL2, but I could still change the shipping location etc...today, it's not, and there is an image of an open box.

I'll keep everyone posted on this, and if it turns out to be true - I will have proof soon (as I set the delivery method to 1 day shipping).

This could be a huge mess up on EBgames part, but the fact I got Halo 2, and the fact that the status is now open and I cannot change the delivery location leads me to believe that this game is indeed being shipped to me as we speak.

Lets hope - if it is true - that Valve keeps their promises.

the "promise" being, that valve said if HL2 was made available earlier than the 16th, that they would make it available worldwide at that time.

Alright, I went ahead and got this cleared up. You can all put the guns down

No, it is still shipping on the estimated release date that we have posted. If that date changes or if it ships early, this will be reflected on the website.

If you require further assistance, we are available 7 days a week from 8 AM to Midnight EST."

That's the official word, though, I still find it odd that their site tells me otherwise. Anyhow, to keep this from blowing out of proportion I think it's best a mod come and lock the topic. If for some odd reason HL2 does show up on my doorstep tommorow I'll be sure to make another topic about it, but for now we have an answer.
