editing post

When make a new thread my first post can sometimes not be edited but my other posts can be edited what's going on?

There is a set time for which you can edit your posts, this applies not only to new threads but any post you make. Once this expires you cannot edit your posts any more.

If you need to make amendments to a first post once this time has expired, ask an administrator or moderator.
