I just noticed that wikipedia article for ep3 got changed. Most of it is just vague speculation, but there was something new. It's this concept art image.

Hl2_ep3.jpg

It's at least one little hint how the things will look like in ep3.

There are four combine advisors that are floating above a bridge that seems to be part of some big, combine-ish, structure; but unlike citadel it's a lot messier and chaotic.

It looks kind of unfinished.

EDIT: The building, not the picture.

EDIT: The guy took it off Wikipedia again.

Notice someone on the bridge. This was in PC GAMER, and whatever it is it's definitely Combine (partially anyway)

I had seen that before as well. They claimed it was Borealis related, but it doesn't seem to resemble the Borealis at all. I think it looks other-worldly, perhaps (and hopefully) the Combine Over-world. Those Advisors could be escorting the Gman in to see one of his "employers" for a little plot revealing game play. :cheese:

I wanted to initially say those walls looked almost glacial, but no. On further inspection it seems simply to be machine-like and reminiscent of the Citadels. I'm guessing Combine homeworld. I'm guessing it's PAYBACK TIME! ;)

Could be fake, but if it isn't, then it's probably the Combine Overworld.

Looks bitchin'. I personally would love a visit to the Combine homeworld. And I'm positive Valve has learned from their mistakes with Xen.

As for the humanoid-ish figure... Could be a soldier. Could be a stalker. It's not far-fetched that there might be humans (assimilated or otherwise) there. They did have the ability to send personnel on permanent off-world assignments.

It isn't fake, I've seen this before. Floating ball things are the advisors, also does anyone see that guy standing on that bridge?

Breen perhaps alive and well or someone else?

The figure, if a man, could very well be YOU. Those Advisors may be taking Gordon "to see the wizard" so to say.

Maybe a Creamator? The flamethrower attack could be a neat contrast to the possibly arctic sorroundings. I assume they could have a role in building combine structures in cold,ice-y places, using the flames to melt and make whatever they need to.

That's not the Borealis I'm almost positive and I'm willing to bet it's not on Earth either.

Maybe a combine-modified xen...or the homeworld....or gman's lair

Well, I believe that "GMan's Lair" is more like some secret cave, but his briefcase has all the cool stuff.

Hmm, Combine-like building...maybe there will be another confiscation field :-)

It's gotta be the Overworld. I'm positive.

There's a pattern in the other Half-life games: Half-life 1 you spend the last times on Xen, Half-life 2 in the Citadel, so for the Episodes, a similarly alien environment.

Ya I already seen this before but I have a feeling that human figure is the Gman because you can partially see the suitcase.

it almost looks like the image is actually a painting on canvas (the texture)

Looks nice. I wouldn't mind going to the combine 'homeworld' if it looked that good.

It'd be interesting to go to the Combine homeworld. I bet they have some sort of imperial army holed up in there that they have just in case a nerdy bloke with glasses and crowbar turns up and ruins their plans.

I can't help but find this amusing.

Prior to this image being shown, I can only recall people shooting down the idea of visiting the Combine homeworld, thinking it would be lame. :)

Yeah, i was one of those. Then again, i don't actually think it would be too bad, because valve would make sure it was good and tied in with the storyline etc.

your right it does, what a great mod :D
