Episode 1.2.3

The past few forums i have read have been contradicting eachother i find, The developers of HL2 said that the 1st episode would be about 4-5hours long, i don't find that to short of a game, yes maybe compared to other games but it seems fairly lengthy to me,and does anyone know the time periods for Episode 2&3, i know they have different teams working on them so that should mean it won't take that long of a time to develope them. Also I have not checked up on it, but i saw someone was saying that their puching the date back for the release date for episode 1 because of bugs and cannot finish it before its release date? I'm not sure which is true, any views anyone?


PS: I haven't been on for about 3 weeks, so do the thread you create get deleted if you have not logged on for awhile? because i posted one when I first joined and it is no longer in the forum :rolling:

No idea about 2 and 3, but I'd expect the same time frame as 1.

The release date of Episode One was pushed back simply because Valve wants to make it as best they can. Also, the deal with EA forces them to release the product on Steam the same day when it goes retail. It means approx. 14 days from going Gold to release. It's stupid, but I think we must accept it

Valve will be releasing some info on Episode 2 as soon as Episode 1 is released. They've been working on Ep2 for quite some time, so I'd expect it to be released not later than 3 months from June 1st. But that's just my expectations, so don't take my words too seriosly

I think 3 months a bit too optimistic, Xmas time would make more sense in my eyes.
