full-blown Gman resolution (I just think this character is much better as long as his motives and origins are remain an enigma)

-Progress in Alyx / Gordon relationship on the grounds that they are now "one"
-Some sweet physics
-The ship to be a portal to another world
-Plenty of NON-zombie NON-bug and also NON-small (by this I mean huge baddies) enemies that I can let my rage out on (I mean I want a lot of enemies much more than in all the previous games on the screen at once)
-A little more info on the Gman and A LOT more of his involvement
-More stuff with Vorts
-Maybe a new gun that is original, otherwise the guns already in place are fine (not the portal gun)
-Hopefully the ship will teleport itself to the combine world where I kill them all and enslave them
-OR ship teleports to another world completely original and disparate from other ones encountered in the series

-Okay if anyones heard the commentary in I think it was episode 1 in the beginning the Valve rep said that the team had to cut out a lot of story because the gamer will get bored or something... Do not cut out story please!!! That's half the reason that I play the game make it as long as you want.

Gordon doesn't wear a Nano suit, i agree with that poster, i too hate fighting solo, its always fun fighting with other npc's.

So you're suggesting that Half-Life stops becoming a Single-Player game? Dude, you're supposed to be playing on your own!

I mean, Half-Life didn't have anyone to fight along side. All you had were the amusing security guards that gave you inspiration and life. But when it came to combat, they were as good as a tentacled-marmite-lid.

Sure, it's fun fighting with someone else for a bit, but they can just get on your nerves. It's like, alright, shift yo' ass, I can do this. No! Get out the fucking way!! Seriously, I got it!

Sure, it's fun to fight with someone else... but asking not to go solo at all? What the hell's wrong with you?

I don't think you quite read what you agreed to.

This clearly states, he does not want to go solo every now and then. He either doesn't like going solo at all, or he doesn't get enough solo action. Either way, you disagreed with him.

Yeah, boss fights are a must in every game, that's why I was disappointed that the only bosses in Half Life 2 were the Ant Lion Queens, and they were pretty easy to beat.


And yes, every game needs moar Druckles.

Portals. Maybe a wee bit. But Gordon prefers freak wall collapses when he's stuck.
Xen stuff. There was none in HL2 and I'd like even less than that.

Her patronizing powers will be unbearable in the claustrophobic confines of teh Borealis. The Combine doesn't stand a chance. Lets just hope the HEV suit protects Gordon.

- A set piece similar to the one that has DOG ripping out a Strider's brain.
 
EP2 was better than EP1 but I think EP3 can be the best HL yet if we have more of the same, some additional interesting ideas, a thrilling end to the series (goes without saying) & above all a stonking long game that is going to suprise everyone. I want it to be like Portal, where you got to the end of the puzzles & thought that was it only to find your only half way through the game! I loved that feeling where you think your near the end & then the game just keeps going & going by throwing in something completely off the wall. The original HL was like that. I kept thinking I must be near the end but infact I was knowhere near! Remember the rocket launch from the original HL? It seemed to take ages to get to that part. I really thought that was going to be the end of the game but it just kept going. It was fantastic.

Now to more specific ideas - I don't know if this idea has come up before. I'm thinking it must have because it seems so obvious to me & I think it would be brilliant. In EP3 I'd like to see Gordon having to make use of an earlier vrsion of the HEV suit. I'd imagine this to be & rather cumbersome & clunky affair. Possibly like one of those loaders from the Aliens film except kitted out with more weapons - A flame thrower, synth energy weapon & possibly a missile system with lock-on capability (I just through that in because I think it would be so much fun to use :)). It would have the feel of driving a small pondering mech but what it lacked in manouverability it would make up for with fire power. Imagine a section with that where maybe you teamed up with dog to take on Striders & other synths? I think that would be awesome.
 
It'd be good if we had a few more scenes with D0G. Where we had to help him somehow, unlike previous times where he just kicks arse without you joining in.

That would never happen. The HEV Suit isn't MJOLNIR. It was never designed for battling an alien race who's technology is far in advance of our own, it was designed for protection from radiation.

I hope the first Borealis level opens similarly to the opening of the Borealis level from the HL2 beta. I just love that.

Fade in. You are on an ice float. Directly in front of you is a scratched ship with the word "Borealis" written on it. To your left is a smaller boat. You jump across some ice floats, climb a ladder, and find a guy named Odell who looks suspisiously like Odessa Cubbage.
 
Areas where elite soldiers white armour finally makes some f***ing sense.

To learn Breen's ultimate fate.
To learn a bit more about the G-man.
Even more new questions about the G-man.
More alien species, friendly or otherwise.

Do Not Want:
Headcrabs and zombies, they're in EVERY game, they've even had whole chapters in their names. Seriously, enough of them.
 
WANT:

- Change in Alyx's outfit. Doesn't have to be major, but we're in the arctic. Put something on, girl.

- New weapon. A proper one. Preferably something badass.

- More enemies, although I'm assuming they'll deliver.

- A few rays of light shed on the G-Man's mysterious scheme.

- I want Breen. This is a must.

- Gordon/Alyx romance. Nothing obtrusive. It doesn't even have to end with a kiss or anything. Just acknowledge it.

DO NOT WANT:

- Zombie sections. I don't mind a few here or there, or maybe a bit in the beginning. But they should be phased out entirely by the time we hit the Borealis.

- No ASHPD. Unless Valve comes up with a miracle method for implementing it without sucking, it's gotta stay out.

- No big stupid bosses, please. This is 2008.
