Episode One Music: Official Titles?

Any tracknames for the groovy music? (use GCFScape to extract it) "Songs 1,2,4,8,11,12,18,19a,19b and 21" don't really cut it as titles.

Failing that it'd be nice if we could identify where they play and give them unofficial titles based on that.

0. unused - creepy march
1. ep1, combine advisor area
2. ep1, citadel intro
3. lost coast, church music
4. unused - rock combat
8. ep1, alyx escort with flashlight through zombie tunnels
9. unused - slow march, elevator/train ride or reveal
19a. ep1 entering citadel core
11. ep1 first zombine attack
12. ep1_c17_00a play during zombie elevator combat, when fast zombies show
18. recombat into combat (ep1_c17_02a) after alyx gets shotty & enters hall
19b. ambient, long, machines - ep1_c17_00a after elevator fails and player begins searching
20. unused - ambient, mystery, exploration, resolution
13. unused - house, upbeat (maybe for travel/motion)
14. unused - ambient + bongo groove, wasteland caves
15. unused - ambient, nature, wasteland, positive
21. ep1_c17_02a when antlion guard dies - and soldiers attack

The unused ones, of course, aren't in the GCF. I'd guess some of those are going to show up in Episode 2, if their names are any hint.

Strange, Song 4 IS in the GCF. Not sure if it is in the game or not...

But good find anyway

edit: I would argue that the designation of Song21 is incorrect. Surely that is what plays during the Strider Battle at the end? And therefore, Song 4 plays "ep1_c17_02a when antlion guard dies - and soldiers attack"

I noticed that after I typed that up, but didn't feel like editing it. I figured y'all would catch it.

You are also probably right about songs 4 & 21. I haven't double-checked that either. Yes, I am a bit lazy. :smoking:

Sadly, I've only got the track titles for the Soundtrack that came with Steam Gold. I don't know which GCF files correspond to the tracks on the OST so I can't help you
