Error message

a friend gets this message when trying to play cs:s

C_CSPlayer::CreateAddonModel: Unable to get weapon info.

he says if he does get into a game, weapons are not appearing, sometimes player models are messed up.
he has tried completely removing steam and all folders and reinstalling to no avail.
any ideas?

Sounds like he needs a update, if not are you sure it's not a steam-rip?
