steam.exe (main exception): win32 structured exception at 000000: attempt to read from virtual virus 0 without appropriate access rights. when i try to load up half life 2 dm or singleplayer or steam it comes up with this error. can someone tell me what to do?

I'm sorry, I have almost no clue. Do you have any spyware? Is your PC sufficiant to play the game?
Have you E-Mailed VALVe?

yes i have been playing on it for quite a while and its suddenly started saying this. i have a AMD athlon 64 processor 3200+ and my graphics card is a all-in-wonder 9600 series. like i said i have already played on the game for quite a while so i know my pc can run it.
