Est. Release Date

Now before I go on any further, I would like to skip any flaming by mentioning that this is ONLY a retailer's date, and they no nothing about when it comes out, but they would probably be the first ones to know about an estimated release date.

I went to B. Dalton in the mall with my friend yesterday, and while he was looking at new fictions or whatever, I went to the front desk and asked if they had Raising the Bar for sale..The woman said, "Step around for a bit and let me know if this is right" (Because we all know 60 year old women haven't a clue about how to spell Half-Life 2) and I glanced at the monitor and said, "Yes thats the one" and looked down the monitor frantically and saw Aftermath listed (And yes, I was confused to why a bookstore would contain information on Aftermath) and the supposed "release" date was 9/28/05 (Oh great...September 30th...)

Yes. I realize this is only retailer estimate, but I thought I'd mention it in case it gives any clue...

When will Valve give an official date? was it in october or september that valve gave the nov 17 release date for HL2? im just wondering if they will wait one or two months before giving us the official release date.

16? thats right......ive been so into HL2 since i baught it, i almostforget i bought it, it sometimes feel too good to be true!! hehe. Yeah i just hate the waiting part. If they gave us a date, thate would calm me down....for the moment, hehe

Could be the guide for it they are usually released around the same if not on the same date.

Walker said it'd be out in a few months and available for everyone to play before xmas. September, hopefully.

The sooner the better. Besides, why know a release date? It's only going to prolong the waiting. I, for once, didn't even know that there's going to be Half-Life 2 (I had my theory when I saw the ending of HL1...), until a year was left to its release (the release date before the delay).
