expansion ideas

sorry if this thread was made before, new to the forums and i didn't want to go through 26 pages.

anyway, feel free to post what you'd like in an expansion, here's what i would like:
i think it would be a definite possibility to play as barney for the week that gordon is in the portal. this could give a good amount of gameplay and let us take place in the beggining of the revoultion. another idea i like would be to fight in the 7 hours war. first of all, the game could be longer than 7 hours, with some gameplay both pre and post war. also, this could be Valve's opportunity to bring shephard back. perhaps g-man needed him sooner than he thought he would, and gives him the opportunity of earth's defense. i also think it will be very interesting to see how they incorporate the grav gun, seeing how you can't have hl2 w/o it.

Anyway, yes, it has been discussed many times before, one of the more obvious expansion idea's, and, i think it would work well

As for the 7 - hour war, yes, i can seee a possible expansion for that as well. They would most likley set it before the war, during the portal storms.
