If they deserved to win, they wouldn't have lost.

Things in the real life don't always work out like that. Using your anology this would be like the guy who works hard as hell but the other guy happens to know the be the bosses best friend or something and gets the promotion first.

Though yes, Man UTD are in part to blame for that as they didn't take their chances when they came to them. I just think the penalty shoot out is a naff way to end a match. I'd rather see a sudden death situation but in open play or a re-match like they used to do in the olden days.

No it wouldn't. There would be two guys, one works really hard, the other doesn't. Then the one that doesn't does something REALLY important, so he gets the Promotion.

Fact is: Man Utd didn't score.

Are you suggesting Arsenal are in cahoots with some higher power?

That's like saying the guy who works hard consistently doesn't get the job, but the guy who gets lucky one time and manages to seal a big deal or something gets the job, even though before he was lazy and rubbish. Still doesn't make it right! ;)

No, I'm just saying Arsenal were lucky.

Oh, I hope this continures for ages.

EDIT: Sudden death? How long did you want it to go on for? Nobody scored for 120 minutes you know.

I was just using it as an example, but penalties are rubbish.

Well penalties are the way we decide the match if no goals are scored, we just need to accept that, could have gone either way.

i'm not an expert on footy and i couldn't have cared who won either way but i think united deserved that match...

yeah

yeah

yeah

yeah

Interesting fact: In the UEFA Cup, the League Cup and the FA Cup, Middlesbrough were knocked out by the eventually runners-up. Sporting Lisbon, Liverpool and Man Utd, respectively.
