Far Cry Vs Hl2

OMG, farcry just decided to unf*** itself today. It had that fog issue where everything was grey (fx5200 PCI) but i fixed it. Now im noticing it runs pretty well on med to low setting with lowest resolution (water and textures r med), and it still looks GREAT! Then i couldn't hep but think...i wonder how hl2 will run on my comp. So what will the difference be in perfomance/quality w/ hl2? BIG or small?

How do you think we know how good will run HL2 in your computer before we play the game in our own computers?

Dude, he's asking if Half Life 2 will run okay on his computer. Leave him alone.

If it runs Far Cry, it will run Half Life 2. Can you tell us your system specs, though?

HL2 will run considerably better than Far Cry, the engine is more optimised.

tbh, got a ti4600 sitttin here, everything MAXED on teh Farcry...and it runs sweet. I mean...nice, and on 1280x960 res too. CS:S on the other hand....ALSO RUNS NICE!! It aint gonna be like uber rape for your GFX like Doom3, i think farcry is the best comparision atm. CS:S stress test @ 1024x768..everything high, except that water reflect all thing..gives me 65.2fps..owned

btw... 2.4ghz p4 o/c to 3.06ghz, 1gb DDR 400 Dual channel, ti4600
