This question keeps bugging me, so I thought I'd make a thread about it, although I think it have been discussed some already

Episode One is said to take action right after the destructive events of Half-Life 2, but how in frigging hell did Eli and Mossman get out of The Citadel so fast!? I mean, they sat in Breens messy office when Gordon and Alyx went up to the control room, right?

How did Eli get so fast to wherever Kleiners hiding? (they are in the same safe zone according to the hologram dialogue in the beginning). And even more absurd is that we see Judith in an arctic base (as we seem guess at the moment)!? How did they actually get out of the Citadel to where they are situated at the moment? :O

Pod flight? Teleportation? Train? Discuss

My guess is they "borrowed" some transportation from the Citadel. Chances are Mossman knew a few secrets to the Combine structure/infrastructure with regards to vehicles and procedures.

Episode 1 actually picks up about 8 hours + after HL2, not straight away. Eli and Mossman escaped the Citadel via one of Dr. Breens escape pods, and they arrived at the abandoned missile silo some way from the City. I assume Mossman simply carried on to the Arctic, or took some other means of transportation.
