Fatal hidden source problem, help me!

This is an incredible odd problem, which I haven't experienced since I used to sit on my dad's old computer playing a little game called soldat, sometimes there would be a black screen covering up everything so all I could see was black, except for 1 pixel at the top. Now I got this very same problem on this 3 GHZ computer, it acts like it has an old ati card or something. When I try to play the tutorial, everything goes black, but I can hear myself moving around, so I killed myself and then I could see the body since that screen who was blocking probably dissapeared. When I play in multiplayer I can see but there's another problem, I can see the hidden! Is there a way to fix this problem (without buying a new graphic card)? I've already tried fixing around with the video settings with no luck, please please help me!

In all serious tho, it does sound like Wolfy Snackrib needs to try new gfx drivers tho. Ive never heard of this issue elsewhere
