The HL2 zombies aren't wearing labcoats. They wear white undershirts of the standard citizen clothes. Nothing mysterious, there, except why they dislike their coats, so much. Perhaps they just rip off, due the mutations, or something.

The surpression device isn't really an instant kill. If it near-misses a rebel, they'll flinch and yell out "I'm hurt!". They just don't have enough health to survive a direct hit, while you and Barney do.

I've got another one for you. I was doing a google search for something on BMRF. Found the WikiPedia entry, and I saw this screenshot.

The scientist on the left is implied to be Kleiner. The one on the right is implied to be Eli. (I'm guessing) Who's the middle scientist?

No, the middle one is an "Einstein" scientist. The four HL1 scientist types were Einstein (looks like his namesake), Walter (the basis for Dr. Kleiner's appearence), Luther (the basis for Dr. Vance), and Slick (the one that resembles Government Man a little bit).

They're all refugees, look at zombie clothes and (male) refugee clothes, they're excatly the same.
