Great game. ........Oh god, poor GlaDOS. ;( After all that trouble at the end, wall upon wall of scribbles from previous test subject about how "the cake was a lie" that never made it to GlaDOS's CPU chamber, the player finds out that GlaDOS indeed baked a cake for her after all. Only after smashing her to pieces. ;(;(;(

The only reason why the previous subjects imo though the cake was a lie because they assumed the party retrieval position oblivious to the situation that caused the entire facility to be evacuated.
No one would ever come for them and they blamed it on GlaDOS. Weak minded fools. The cake is the truth.

I don't care if GlaDOS is a homocidal rogue AI network, I'd rather put up with her than most humans anymore tbh. Besides, I AM a little crazy myself anyways. :naughty:


I'm glad I never read up on anything about Portal around here before actually playing the game. Would've spoiled most of the mystery and suspense fs.


Oh yeah, great graphics for a console port too.

There was this movie called "Ship wreak" or "House Arrest" or something. (Can't remember the name. Someone help me out here.) The AI's name was Lucy. GlaDOS reminded me alot of her. I have a soft spot for female AI programs.

Still going to complete the rest of Episode 2 during the week. Hopefully by then I'll get the HDMI cable needed to connect the 360 to my monitor. Can't wait to play the rest of EP2 in a higher-res screen format.

Until then, maybe someone can explain something to me. Will there ever be a cheaper package with only Episode 2 and Portal for the PC? They have other combo packages I think that bundles TF2 and EP2 together but not EP2 and Portal. It's all I really want from OB tbh.

That's just my opinion though. Other people may find his behavior amusing. Particularly bratty, undisciplined teenagers.

I weighed it up... I was at the character limit, wanted to try the last.fm link for a while, and it was the oldest and most obscure link there. You'll still always be dragonsirt, though.

It truly was an awesome story. When you really think about GlaDOS's situation and all.

Dutifully reviving test subjects from cryosleep, doing what she was programmed to do as if nothing happened on the outside (the events of HL2) and playing with them as if though her AI was programmed to be a sweet little child. (if not mischievious and homocidal)
She baked me a cake. AND I KILLED HER! ;( ;( ;( WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!

I was attempting passionate overtones to express my feeling towards Portal's debatable, but wonderful story. Guess it doesn't work so well in digital/text form.

Just cause there's a cake in the menu when you finish the game doesn't mean that she baked it for you.
