FireFox and youtube embedded videos?

When I'm looking at youtube videos here *Not sure about google yet* but I'll be watching it, and when it's on, it takes it an UNGODLY amount of time to switch between tabs. *That's not good since I'm at work*. But if I pause the video, or I scroll down 1/2 way so the video is only 1/2 visible, then I can switch it up no problem. Is that for everybody, or is it that my work PC is a piece.

I've never noticed tab lag before. But my PC is hardly mortal.
