Firefox History Problem

OK so I'm using Firefox 3 beta 5.

I go to type an address into the bar, and as I type, a drop down menu drops underneath the address bar, and it automatically suggests past surfing history websites in the drop down menu.

The funny thing is, It was only suggesting about 12 places to go, and some of them are from searches I did years ago, which didn't make any sense to me.

So, I deleted history. I cleared history. I did it again. I opened my iobit Windows Advanced care, and deleted all privacy history.

It still suggests links, so I uninstalled firefox 2, thinking that it might be remembering the history and it caries over into firefox 3b5

Anyway, it's still showing up, and I want to delete it. I don't want to be searching for something with someone present, and all of these porn links pop up.


Any suggestions?

Is it a bookmarked site? D:
this may help although it doesn't completely kill the drop down feature I don't think.
Or install the other extention for the location bar (which was used in FF2).

Tried uninstalling all firefoxxes, deleted their left over program files and started from scratch?

Did you erase your profile, because that is not stored in the Program files its in the Appdata for on your profile, you can find it at: C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
Make sure you can see hidden folders as it is hidden.
