Hello. I start up Half Life 1 to play Xen again. As I was plaing through it, the game randonly minimizes and I get a message stating that my firewall needs to restart. I click yes, but after that my computer gets really laggy. Internet hardly works. AIM won't shut down. And it gets so bad that I have to restart.

Now, I have a firewall/antivirus called eTrust. (It's not a free Firewall, and it's pretty damn good as I have never expierienced problems with it before.)

But sadly, I have this problem with every Steam game. Keeping my firewall shut down always works(But this is very annoying.)

Don't know if it matters, but here are my Specifications:

Windows XP
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 ghz
768 MB of Ram
nVidia Geforce 6600 256mb

Any thanks would be highly appreciated.

Reinstall the firewall? If all else fails, get rid of it.

I also have eTrust, and sometimes it locks up horribly.
DO NOT install any other antivirus or firewall while you have eTrust installed, this WILL lag your computer horrendously (2 minute response time). eTrust is pretty good, but sometimes it will indeed give odd computer lag.
PS: Sending PM
