First glimpse of the prowler

In the labs where you look around before Alyx walks in, I noticed that on a table next to some computer monitors is some sort of head (which looks like is being examine), is this the head of the infamous prowler (we've seen the conceprt art and we've heard of it, but never seen it in action)

If it is they have very silly round heads... after looking at it again and looking at the art of the prowler I realy dont think it is.

I think it's a Combine gasmask but I'm not sure. I'd have to look at it again.

Well, it does look a little like a Prowler head without the eye thingies...

Unforetunatetly, I'm hitting print screen, pasting in Paint, putting it in attachments, but it keeps on coming up with an error message. Plus when I'm opening it from attachment messager, keeps on coming up with a blank screen. I think this is to avoid copy right infrignements

That kind of copy protection is 100% impossible.

The Quick Time window appears when I open the the paint file, but the screenshot of the movie its self does not appear. I don't have any problems with Bink vids though (hoping the lab vid comes out on Bink soon)

It's kind of cartoony for a prowler head... looks more like the severed head of Strong Sad from www.homestarrunner.com.

That problem is called *overlay*
It's the same with the WMP.
Try a better screenshotapp then print'n paint.

On a Norwegian OS here, but I think this is more or less the procedure.

Control Panel -> Display -> [Tab furthest to the right, the one with resolution and color depth, probably Settings] -> Advanced -> Troubleshooting:

Hardware Acceleration: None.


If this doesn't help, one must look for a similar setting in the setup of the actual media player one wishes to capture from..

It looks more like an expensive futuristic microscope to me. Here is a really small pic of the 'prowler/combine' mask.

Hmm, taking another look i'm not so sure anymore. looks like a skull of sorts more than a mask.

Its some kind of microscope. It looks as though you slide the petri dish in where the jaw would be if it was a mask

hmm,but it defiantely looks combine like ... nothing like the prowlers head. its more of a mask... perhaps another type of combine enemy with a different mask..? but I think I know , 'gulp' must not utter its name.
