great game aside from the obvious high system requirements for pc and some small patchable glitches
still, alot of fun, lotsa variation of quests/dungeons, very rewarding, HIGHLY addictive :P
if there's anyone out there thats still uncertain about whethher or not its worth the money... lemme be the first to say that IT MOST DEFINATELY IS(if you've got the rig to handle it.. or an xbox)
played for 9 hours total today and im still havin a blast :)

i never got into the hype or anything else really, i was just expecting another morrowind (good, solid game) but oblivion is excellent.

Eff yeah man! I'm loving this game a lot just doing random stuff and whatnot. By the way, why is there a black square in that particular spot of the picture?

Man... I get lost in the beauty sometimes.

I was just in this grove, nothing special as far as the game goes, just this quiet little grove near a forests edge. And holy hell... grasses, bushes, flowers, and trees were just EVERYWHERE, thick as you can imigine, all swaying gracefully. It was truely a sight to behold, and just simply beautiful.

I'm on medium texture settings, too.

So, does anyone here have 360 first impressions? Performance, loading times, visuals etc.

I only assuming that the majority of people who have posted information about the game are PC users.

I'm about 3 hours in ..half that time spent on character creation (my guy looks like conan, post a screen when I get a chance) ..just made it out of the sewers and found an inn to sleep till morning

so far it exceeds my expectations ..the combat is thrilling (although I wish I had more moves) and the action nonstop ..my only complaints are that the one city I visted was completely barren ..no people anywhere ..but it was 4am so that could explain it ..also the game is overwhelming in the sheer amount of things to do, I get lost a lot

heh for some reason I didnt even consider it till I kept walking around and found no one on the streets ..I keep thinking Oblivion is one of those games where realisim is just a buzz word affecting a few things ..like Fable.

someone found a rideable Unicorn that cant be killed:

"I have to say, one of the coolest things i've found so far, was a Unicorn. Yup, found it, snuck up on it, and jumped on it and now it's my horse. I took it to a stable and now I have a unicorn as my ride. What's even better is that when you goto the Imperial City stables, the orc there starts to fight the unicorn. Now what i've noticed, is that I can't damage the unicorn, and it seems like none of the NPC's or Animals can hurt it either. So it just keeps knocking the orc at the stables unconcious. This game's a blast, I'm a level 8 and havn't even done the first part of the main story line, and i've played the game over 12 hours. Well worth every penny.

"He's south of the imperial city, and he's guarded by 3 minatours. If you look at your map, <physical map> he was right where The Green Road text is. I found him at night. If you just walk to him he attacks you, so make sure you sneek up on him, and like I said earlier, I wasn't really able to hurt him at all. He kicks REALLY hard."

I've made a very stupid looking 'caveman' mage character (360, so no screenies :() . Earlier I chased a deer through a forest for about 10 mins, shooting fireballs and arrows all over the place - great game :)

I saw a post somewhere were a person had a good idea for taking screens on the xbox360 ..he just hooked up his video camera to the output jacks on his xbox360 ..positioned his character and filmed away ..he had some crystal clear images

I wonder if the unicorn will be able to wear horse armour when it comes out. Because I can just imagine a pure white unicorn with dark black armour. :borg:

Just got out of the sewers. What a game. The combat is great. Best melee I ever played. Casting stuff is also pretty cool. I can't wait to get my hands on more spells. Got to get back tho; I have a world to explore.
