first time questions

ok, so, i finally bought myself half life 2...ok...it was actually just episode one....so, i've been enjoying it, but my problem is, certain mods don't seem to work...specifically minerva....i really want to play it, but it doesn't show up in steam...do i need the original half life 2 to play some of the mods or what? also, another question, when i registered my steam account, i misspelled my username...is there anyway i can change that?

I assume you would. I mean, most mods are based on content included only in Half-Life 2 rather than in Episode 1. Odd, though - it should show up in Steam, at the least. Contact customer support in regards to the name changing thing - they're more qualified then us at Steam Support.

For the majority of the mods to work correctly, you need Half-Life 2. And no, you can't change your username. Sorry

Why just Ep1? I guess the storyline doesn't interest you?
