Follow Freeman help needed

i seem to be stuck at this strider part. right after you take down the handful of strider sand keep going you get into a big tunnel-like street and another strider pops up. you are then forced to run into a building and kill a few combines. this is where i'm stuck. i don't have enough ammo to take down the strider, there seems to be no way out of the building, and there is no bazooka shell ammo container. what am i supposed to do?

at the 2nd or 3rd level of the busted down building, whichever level that has direct stairway acess, there is a toppled cross beam on a slant, run up it and there is an ammo crate and a hall for you to run through.
