Hm...when ever I modifiy a shape (using the vertex tool) in Hammer and save then reload the file, the shape is totally screwed up o.0 The vertexes are in places that I did'nt move them to...What can I do to fix this?

Move the vertices correctly when you edit them. You probably made an invalid shape such as a concave brush. Don't try to do fancy things with millions of sides, use more than one brushes instead and stick em together (and make them func_detail).

How do you stick them together?

just select the different brushes and go to the menu tools en then click on group or if you are gonna make it a func_detail just select them all and tie to entity.(sorry for the bad english)

Grouping affect brushes in Hammer only, there are no functions to join brushes, just put them very close together.

But that doesn't solve my problem =X I still get distorted shapes when I re-open the file :(

Incredibly helpful but doesn't solve my Hammer bug..

I don't think Hammer correcting nonconvex solids is quite a bug... PEBKAC, maybe ;)

How would it? I already re-installed Hammer more then once and no success =/

I have 1gb ram, Radeon 9600Xt and a AMD 3.2ghz. :S

Once again... I don't think it's a bug that Hammer corrects nonconvex solids given that they aren't supported in any way, shape, or form...

I think he doesn't understand that he can't make non convex wierd ****ed up geometry.
PsychoFreak, post a screenshot of the shape you are trying to make in Hammer and we'll tell you what's wrong with it.

Just download Limpet's example. Trying to use 1 brush to get that kind of shape is a no-no.

Ah I see what you mean...at least someone actually explained it o.0 Cheers
