That's discussed in the thread and is supposedly an optical illusion because of the model's shadow.

Wowie zowie! I wasted many an hour on Kali2 back in the day. How I pine for my life as a sniper, camping in a darkened balcony just waiting for that sniviling little umbrella toter to show his glistening nog... Oh that this mod might give some small taste of those glorious times.
