ok, I have just defeated the 2 guardians. The alien says we need to get to the main encampent above. There is an elevator on the left and I see no way to activate it. The alien usually zaps the generators and they start. The alien doesn't follow me he just stands in one spot. So am I missing something or could this be a bug. Thanks for any help!!!

You can climb up on top of the elevator, I forgot how.

Yep. You should be able to figure out the rest once you get up there.

The vort doesn't have to do anything this time.

You have to remove the axe from the thing.

Theres a ladder beside the lift, and you climb up on top of it, and you'll see a maintenance hatch on top, which you can climb in, and remove the axe from the crank

Same problem here...

I am having the same problem as Bigman and starting the get extremely frustrated!! :flame: I've been stuck here for awhile. The problem is that I can't get inside the fenced in area where the lift is...I can't get to the ladder yet because I can't get the door open to get inside the fence area. I'm gonna keep working at it, but any help would be nice!!

Well after you kill the two guardians walk up to the lift and the vort should start the generator, opening the gate to get to the lift. If that doesn't happen, you either haven't done something or the game's buggered.

If both guardians are dead and the gate is shut, that's a bug, means a trigger didn't fire properly - you'd need to go back to a previous save where a guardian is alive.

Ok, I reloaded from where they give alex the cure and continued on to the next mission which is freeman pontifex. After killing the guardians this time the vort went over and opened the gate to the elavator. Instead of just standing there. So mission accomplished. Thanks for all the help!!!!!

I am now at the part after the elevator where freeman is suppose to go and find a way to the car. Alex disengages the electronic field and freeman goes to the next room which is a room that has a door that wont open and a blocked elevator passage. I've looked and looked and can't find a way out? Any solution's would be appreciated!!!!
