Ok, so in my other thread I said the anvil manor quest is bugged for me and I can't find the guy I'm looking for, now the spies quest that goes with the main quest is also bugged and I can't talk to Captain Burd about the spies, thereofore, I cannot finish the quest and I'm stuck in the main quest until I find a way to fix it, and I really don't want to start a new character

Just a stupid question, but.....it is your active quest, right?

Yep, I've asked around about both quests but nothing new that changes my route or objective

I never talked to him.

SPOILERS:

I killed the bitch outside the town, near the standing stones.

I took her key.

Then I went into town, and talked to a beggar. He told me to go to Jearl's house, or something. I entered, killed the woman there, and got the note from the basement.

OH....now I think I know what Dalamari has to do. You kill the spies first, then you talk to Burd. I had trouble remembering that part until Cerpin brought it up.

My friend had a crippling bug during the set of Archane University quests. Simply put, the pressure plates (big square buttons on the floor) won't open the stone walls (the ones divided into three parts and slowly move downward) so he can't get through the dungeon and get the little statue. I did the quest with no problem and can't figure out how to help him through this situation. Anyone have any ideas?

By the way, here is a link to console commands that may or may not be able to help.

I had a semi-crippling bug near the end of the game. Let's just say I had to talk to a person in Skingrad...but whenever I looked in certain parts of that particular zone, the game would crash.

I had to navigate the area looking straight down and walking backwards to get to where I needed to be, and even then I had to be careful about which way I turned around to get to the door to pick it open and still hope to avoid the guards...

I had a problem with the Faelia-killing quest for the Db. Whenever I went into the area the quest arrow pointed to, the arrow would dissapear. So eventually I just scoured the whole of Impereial City with a fine tooth comb and found him. That Skooma taking bastard.

Doh! That's a quest? Grr, I went through the dungeon got the statue and then sold it :(

How do I advance my status on a quest? all I see are the commands to either get all quests or complete them all

I made a 2nd character and quickly did the Manor quest again and finally got it to work, now I need to find out how to make it work on my main character

The one where you have to throw magic on a big pillar and it opens up a tomb below. There are some ghosts and crypts and some stone doors that are supposed to open. Luckily they did for me, but not so for my friend.

If that's the one you're talking about, it's a quest for the Archane University.

oh, no, it's not that one, but there was a statue at the end of the dungeon.
