i have a version of iceworld from CS1.6 which i would like to re-map in Source but since i don't know a thing about mapping/hammer...i am forced to ask for help here.

yeah i tried doing it but of the small part i worked on, it came out horribly wrong :|
so any decent mapper wanna take a shot at this re-mapping?
having CS1.6 is a good idea.

its a map as simple as a map can get.

Lear how to map and map it. If you accuire some skills then you gan throw this together in a few hours. If you don't have the skills it's an excellent opportunity to get some while makeing this.

as big an NIN fan as i am....i simply just cant approve of this. iceworld can only be so good because its so simple....and awesomeness can rarely come out of something that simple you see. i think you mightve picked the wrong skybox too....youre confusing the hell out of everyone.

i did not make the original map...i only came across it a few times in this one server and have not seen it run in any other server which runs fy maps.

anyway, all the versions of iceworld which i have played in source have had some type of bug or mapping error...so what am i hoping out of this? getting a map thats bug-free and a bit different from other iceworld maps.

oh i thought you made that map. you want to re-map it on the source engine youre saying? well alls im saying is you better work your ass off on it so that it may wow and impress all the iceworld haters out there. if you just make it identical....no kudos for you. be creative or dont bother.

I would map it happily, but I've got my own map to finish. This map is simple as hell so why can't you give it a go yourself? And what do you mean, "It came out horribly wrong"?

Gives us screenshots of your work and maybe we will be able to help you improve.

Sorry I can't help you in the mapping department. I'm busy on my own mod at the moment. Learn to map and you can try it yourself.

is not. a good example would be.....hmmm....iceworld? emphasis on the word rarely. i did see that exercise in mapping thread....blew my mind.
