G-man sans briefcase and hexing

I have two questions.
1: Is there a simple way to remove the g-man's briefcase without having to download a new model
2: Can someone provide a tutorial on how to Hex a re-skined model (I checked to tutorial thread but didn't see anything)

i think they would have assigned different matids to the brief case so all you have to do is import it go to select by matid and scroll through the id's until the briefcase is highlighted then just hit delete.

The funny thing is that that sentance means nothing to me.
