game messed up

after i got to chapter 2 a red letter day, i jumped down into a train yard and got past all those guys shooting at me. when i got on top of one train, hopped over a fence, and headed down a dark hallway it lead to a deadend... and when i asked my friend about it, he told me a new area was suppost to load.. but nothing did i cant go any further. has anyone else had this problem? if they have if there a fix, or do i need to reinstall?

Same thing happened to me in HL1. Load it back to the previous area - not chapter and try that. That did it 4 me.

yeah a loading screen should come up.

try looking at the console and see if there are any errors.
