Hi,

I'd like to know if I can connect my Gamecube to my monitor to play games on. I have a really bad tv, something like 12 inch, so you can see why :p. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro, so I know I need to either get a tv capture/tuner card or I have seen a direct Gamecube to monitor cable (I saw a review of one on planetgamecube and they said it has ghosting, so I'd prefer not to get one unless I have to, plus I don't want to have to turn my computer off and unhook the monitor every time). So, I guess what I'm asking is if this is possible with a tv tuner card and if it is, what is a good one to get for under $50 (I'd prefer under $40 though).

Thanks.

It is perfectly possible with a TV tuner card. Plug in a VCR to the tuner and then plug in the console. It is as easy as that.

Ok, thanks. Can you or anyone else tell me what a good one to get would be?

I connected my xbox to the TV card using AV cables (cancelling out the need for a VCR), but yeah... TV card is your best bet. Either that or a monitor that has scart / av support.
