Maybe their standards finally got so high that their own website wasn't good enough for them anymore. They've just locked themselves away in the office to play Halo for eternity and remark on it's infinite flawlessness.

Yes, it's a slow day. Plus, it's fun thinking about the possibility that some angry fanboy(s) might have organized a DDoS attack on poor Gamespot. Alas, the site is back. Oh well.
