I was wondering... im garrys mod, how do you take videos without fraps?

And how do you put videos and pics on a DVD?

Half-Life 2: E-Z Pose Mod for Garry's Mod (v3.0) Anyone know how much this costs?

Reason: Im doing a Civil war reanactment:sniper: for History class, and decided to use Garrys Mod to do it.

First you record a demo of your play. "record xxx"
When you've done that, you press SHIFT + F2 and the demo tool will appear. You load the demo, go to the part where you want to start recording, and pause the demo. First thing to do is change your options. Change your audio device to 2.1, and select a small widescreen resolution in windowed mode. Now, open the console and type "host_framerate 30; startmovie xxx". The movie will play slowly and the audio will probably be messed up, but that's normal. When you want to stop the recording, type "stopmovie; host_framerate 0".
What you've done here is make a screenshot of every frame, and along with it an audiofile with the proper sounds.
Now you have to use a program such as VirtualDub to make an .avi from it. Download the program, open it and do file > open video file...
Find the "cstrike" folder (steam/steamapps/username/counter-strike source/cstrike) and select the first screenshot (there will be quite a few). When you're done, go to audio > WAV Audio and select the .wav file in the cstrike folder.
Technically you can make a movie now by going to file > create avi, but it will make a terribly large file. You will want to compress it. The easiest one is the Xvid codec (google for it). When you have it, go to video > compression and select the Xvid codec. The last thing to do is compress the audio. Use the mpeg-layer 3 codec (google again if you don't have it). audio > compression. Select the mpeg-layer 3 and select a good bitrate (56 kBit, 24.000hz, stereo) and click ok. Now you can go file > create AVI. This will probably take a while but when you're done you should have the part of the demo in an avi file, with sound. You do this process for all the scenes and then use a program like Adobe Premier pro or Sony Vegas to put the scenes together and edit it a little. After that you can use Nero to create a DVD with it.

That's the proper way to do it.

Not to be negative, but I think that needs a bit of tidying up.

You try then. I just came out of the shower and typed that before I put my clothes on.
