GeoMod... MOD?

I was just thinking while playing Garrys MOD... just how feasable would it be to try and make a GeoMod (ala Red Faction) in Source?

I'm not coder so I have no idea how possible this really could be.
I'd like to hear some comments from people knoledgable in Source to comment on this.

I know that the ground and walls in most all Source maps are hallow, so I guess it wouldent really work for already made maps.

It'd take years to work it into a game that wasn't designed for it.

By designed, I mean coded for it to be added in easily.
 
Really, really hard. Although, there's some support in the code for something like it. There's a few unused items in the code that can alter displacements.

Geo-Mod would never work in HL2. The only point of a geomodmod would be if it made a new game.

Although a Geo-mod multiplayer mod might be a different story as long as the maps were designed around the use of geo-mod
