I wanna know what you thought of the movie and what were your favorite scenes, lines, themes. I personally liked the scene where they were stucked with a puzzle (Standing by the Giant mecha Leg).

I saw it like, two months ago.
I thought it was awesome. Particularly when they first enter the HUUUGE 3-D mansion..

I don't know, I didn't really like the melding of 2D / CG stuff in the film, I didn't sit quite right with me stylistically, I guess. That scene in particular where Batou enters the store to buy food for his dog. I much prefer the old hand painted backgrounds.

I'm no anime fan, this series and Akira are about the only two titles I have seen, but I'm really hooked on the feel of them. There's a certain grace and sense of 'artistic economy' about them which I find far superior to any western animation I have seen.

As for my favourite scene, it probably would have been the parade-type-festival-thingummy. Absolutely amazing. I think I preferred the original film, though.

:cheers: I loved that shiznit. Everything about Ghost in the Shell gets me orgasmic. My favorite scene was when Batou was fighting off the pleasure dolls and one pleasure doll came down, took one of his guns and blasted at the other pleasure doll, turns out it was the Major :cheers: GGZ.
