Gman scene

hey all I'm just wondering if anybody has recorded the Gman scene where he talks about Alyx because i spent at least the past hour trying to watch it but the lag was so intense it took 5 minutes for the subtitles to put 2 sentences on the screen it was that intense. so please could you tell me if you have got a video of the scene or know where i can watch it please could you tell me thanks.

I was thinking about that but I forgot the 2nd time through ;(

What does it do (apart from not making it lag)?

It reserves 300000 bytes of ram for HL2.exe.

What is the standard heapsize for the game? Perhaps those of us running a ridiculous amount of RAM could increase it beyond the set amount if it would have any advantages.

On the other hand, it already plays silky smooth for me @ 1920x1200 w/ 16xAA and 16xAF...

I've never checked how much ram is used during gameplay when running 4gb. Perhaps i should give that a look.

I think HL2 can use half of physical RAM, but I am not sure
