Q: Who is the G-Man?

A. The G-Man seams to be a Government Man, who works for the Government and takes grate interest in Gordon Freeman and monitors your progress through Black Mesa (the first game) and then hires you to work for him, this seems to have put Gordon under G-Man’s control.

Other People Think . Some people seem to believe that G-Man might be Gordon from the future, they believe that he looks like him.

My Thoughts . I believe G-Man is a Government Man and has Freeman under is control to a point, Gordon wakes up ten years later to the voice of G-Man, at the end of the second game Gordon dose what G-Man wanted and now Gordon is a Sleep again.

Other People Think. A lot of people say the Combine are from Xen and where teleported when Gordon opened all the portals, others say they are from Earth.

My Thoughts. I do belive the Combine are from their own dimension ect, I also believe they might be Humans that have been manipulated, what leads me the believe this is the Combine_stript model (if you have source sdk load model viewer and then load combine_stript you can load this model in Garry’s Mod)


Now the GOODS and the BADS

Half Life 2: Aftermath. This is not going to be as good as I had hoped:frown: , “Why?” you say, well at the end of the game G-Man puts Gordon back to sleep and saved him from the explosion, that blast would kill him for sure but Alyx lives, I don’t think she should have because she was meant to die that’s what the end was all about, don’t get me wrong I loved Alyx but that is a hole in the story.

The Final Half Life. Hmmmmm this has me bugged, finding out who G-Man is, will this be good or bad, well this is what will probably happen.

1. We find out who he is. Knowing who he is would be grate (the suspense is killing me) but then we know and G-Man will not be the same person, I mean playing the games again will never be the same seeing G-Man and knowing him would not be a big deal like it is now

2. We DON’T find out. This would make a grate twist and the end, but the suspense would drive you mad


Alyx is Retarded. I am very upset, Alyx as no intelligence I fond this in Garry’s Mod (this mod allows you to play HL2 but kill anyone) when you first get the HEV suit I killed everyone except Alyx, then she walk through the wall to the teleport so I followed though the wall in noclip mode the find her on the teleport playing all of her animations, finally she is about to teleport “BUT” at the end of her animation she just dropped dead, this made me very upset and not happy I liked to think she was smart, (Now all my dreams are shattered);(

You can HARDLY make an assumption about Episode 1 right now, seeing as how, it's not even released yet. For all we know, the G-Man saved Alyx's life for the sake of protecting Gordon or something. We don't know, thus..we just need to wait for the game to come about before we decided it to be "better or worse than what we expected"

I'm confused. Why would you assume G-man to mean Government-Man (Or however you spell his "name")? That makes very little sense. If he worked for a government, what the hell is he doing messing with Earth? And why has he "enslaved" (I quotate this since it's not entirely enslavement, more likre forced work or something along those lines) the Vortigaunts? Is his Government so powerful that he is allowed to enslave an entire race just to complete an assignment?

The Government funded Black Mesa, yup. But come HL2 there ain't no govnerment, whatever government officials remain live in squalor with everyone else. There isn't a government. Gone. Flash bang wollop.

The government are powerful enough to put Gordon in a sleep and to stop the Combine forces? How does that one work? The military failed and got their asses handed to them by the Combine. The government fits into humanity and as such, have no longer any form of power. I really, really doubt our government could put Gordon into an area that exists outside and normal time and space. No sir.

Gman is not his name. Valve didn't grant him it, it was picked up by fans and Valve simply started using it as his codename. Whatever they named him as a codename, would be picked up on either way.

I think G_man might not even be Human, Like Samon said the is no Goverment, but if you remeber when Hl2 came out it came it 3 differant boxs one with G-Man on the cover, so his name might be only the name of his model but his name was on the cover. but no ever realy said that was his name
