I was just looking at random pictures and I found this...

PonyTail

Is it just a Model Problem... Or is that His HairStyle?

In Opposing Force, the Gordon model had a ponytail. But in the Half-Life 2 artwork, it's pretty obvious that he doesn't have one.

What Feath said. It seems to be removed in Half-Life 2.

Why did they eva give him a pony tail?
Is this another reason to hate GearBox?

Does it matter that much? Its just a ponytail on one model.....

eww. removing the ponytail and deciding NOT to give alyx braces are two of Valve's best decisions.

Get a haircut, hippy! :p

I actually kinda like the ponytail, but he does look better with the short hair.

Why is the old Gordon model in a HL2 invironment with Eli? I mean: wtf? :p

And with good reason. They did this to the Gordon model in Decay as well. Why I have a good mind to take a Shepard picture to photoshop!

Heh...the model had it in the original HL as well, so Gearbox aren't exactly to blame. :p

Aha! That means....ummm....what? That can't be true...no, I won't believe it.

(Oh crap it is)

**** **** *****

Ahem.

You know, I don't think it did.

I think they should have kept the ponytail in HL2, but oh well :P

When I went into third person with some cheat in HL1, I remember a pony-tail.

Why am I the first person to think of this?

quite an easy explanation. You see the soldiers that captured freeman were gay so they tried to pretty him up. Luckly during the rough jump from earth to xen freeman lost the pony tail he never knwe he had... all the scientists laughed behind his back.

I believe that Gordon has a ponytail in the original Half-Life also. use third person mode.

Man I feel like Valve saying this...
you're Gordon Freeman...so if you have a ponytail he's got one; if you don't then he doesn't.

The higher detailed model of the DM Gordon has a ponytail, but the low detailed one doesn't.

Where did these higher def ones come from? I only remember there was a button for "High detailed models" when you were setting up Deathmatch. Did Gearbox make them or did they come with the first game?

Well, I know that Gearbox made the High-Definition models to go with Blueshift.
