I am deaf in one ear, and I play games with headphones. In this game, any sound made from the right of the screen comes through the right headphone, which means I can't hear it.

Does anyone know how to disable this feature, so that all sounds are played equally on each side.

I don't think there is anyway to do this in game, but you can set your audio settings in Windows to mono, so all the sounds come from both ends.

First, open the Control Panel, and select Sounds and Audio Devices.
On the Speaker Settings section of the Volume tab, click Advanced, then select Laptop mono speakers. Now all the sounds come out both the left and right speaker!

Err... Gordan can hear just fine. It's speech that he seems to have problems with, so I don't see what you are getting at with your topic title...

Indeed he is. Remember you are Gordon Freeman, therefore Gordon can't hear in one ear either.
