Gordon's Administrative Sponsor

I know that this was probably posted somewhere, but I can't find it. In the beginning of Half-Life 1 when Gordon is on the tram, when it displays all of his information, it says Administrative Sponsor: Classified. I have always wondered who this person is. Does anyone have an idea. The G-Man maybe?

It's the same administrator that you see in the e3 2004 video... the one peddling the brainwash up on the tele when you arrive.

We really don't know much about the administrator yet... he was hinted at a couple of times in HL 1.

In the beginning tram, when your talking to the 3 scientists before you enter the test chamber (something about "he is very interested in this analysis, they went to some lengths to get it.... or something)

Ooh, nice, how did he get to be his sponsor? Was he the one who wrote the letter to Gordon that is found in the front of the HL1 instruction booklet?

i seriously doubt dr.breene is the administrator spoken of in hl, it's been said that the g-man works for the administrator, and in hl2, gordon apparently works for the g-man, now it doesn't make much sense that you could be working for the g-man but not his boss, thus dr.breene can't be the administrator

well, may be it's a plot twist, the admin is in fact breene but the g-man doesn't like the way he's handling city 17, so he hires gordan to stop him, that's plausible

G-man works for admin because admin wanted to own the world, so in HL2 he owns the world (or c17 atleast) and G-man was directing his orders down to Gordon.

yeah...just because pple see Doc. Breen on a screen in the E3 video doesn't mean he couldn't be the mayor of City17 or something..which btw doesn't sound too far fetched because a mayor does promote his city and all.. and Breen seems to paint a pretty picture of City17 in that particular video.
