hi everyone,

just a quick question, am not rolling in the money but i want to get a newish graphics card the ones in my price range are below anyone know which one is best, and will i see all the new detail in CS:S and Half-life 2 that i cant see because of my Geforce 5200fx because its directx 7 or 8.

Need one of the following

1) GECUBE RADEON 9600XT PLATINUM 256MB
2) GECUBE RADEON 9800PRO 128MB
3) ASUS 128MB RADEON 9600XT DDR TV/DVI
4) ASUS 128MB RADEON 9600XT DDR VIVO/DVI R
5) PEAK 128MB RADEON 9800PRO TV/DVI 8x RET

peak/gecube 128MB 9800pro. but please use the correct boards.
 
9800 Pro - No doubts there! See if you can't stretch to getting a 256MB version (You'll be able to crank up the AA/AF and texture settings a lot more with extra video memory)

The 9600 XT 256MB is also a nice little card. Just installed one in a mates PC and it runs Doom 3 & CS: Source, Flawlessly!

But if you want bang for the buck - 9800 Pro 128 is the way to go!
 
dont be too eager to get the 256mb version, it really dont make that much dif... if you are gonna spend more than the 128mb version, you may as well push for the 9800XT
