Graphics Trouble

Before i start-- I know my computer is old and lanky but please dont point it out. I just want to know whats wrong.

Specs.
AMD Athlon XP 2200+ ~1.8GHz
512 MB Ram
Radeon X700 Pro

The problem is that every now and then my player models get all "rainbowy."

YES the game is legit. I have had it for almost two years now and this only just began to happen.

Is this a sign of overheating or is it dying on me?

try going on the options and turning blooming off. that sometimes sorts things out.

does it still do this if you stick to the original maps?

looks funny though

Have you tried to install skins from, say, fpsbanana.com? If so, try and reinstall CSS by deleting your cstrike folder and playing the game, which resets everything in the cstrike folder, which is kinda the materials/textures/reflections of the game.
