Gravity gun problems

when i use my gravity gun in single player it works all nice and smoothe, but in multiplayer its different. In MP games i have no lag or any problems but when i shoot objects with my grav. gun there is a pause before they are launched and i can boldly see the orange beam longer than i should. Could someone please help me with this problem because it really is starting to get annoying ;(

Sounds like lag to me... what's your ping when you're playing?

uhh my pings decent, 40, 50, 60 i think. i'm pretty sure its not lag because i can run and shoot at teh same time but i don't get any lag on my running, just my grav gun.

I get this when there's lag.

Does this happen every single time, or just occasionally?

If it's every single time, try validating your HL2DM files, perhaps they're corrupt (or something).

If it's only occasionally - it does sound like lag, but again it could be the files being slightly corrupt or something.


In other words: try validating the files if you ain't already.
